How do I give my visitors access to manage their data?

Lucky Orange offers a convenient online tool to help visitors to websites that use Lucky Orange technology see what data was collected about them, manage that data, and even opt out of future tracking. The page accesses all sessions, conversations, surveys and more tracked for a particular person based on a UID (Unique Identifier) first-party cookie that a website using Lucky Orange sets. This UID is stored in the following site-specific cookie:

_lo_uid

Visiting https://privacy.luckyorange.com and appending the UID to the end of the URL will allow you to view and manage the data associated with this UID. For example, https://privacy.luckyorange.com/123-1523650501405-b811c3e6d11a0a5e

Website Owners

Simply give your visitors access to this link or embed it in an iframe. You will need to read the UID cookie and append it to the privacy link. Here is some sample javascript code for illustrative purposes:

<script>
function readCookie(name) {
	var nameEQ = name + "=";
	var ca = document.cookie.split(';');
	for(var i=0;i < ca.length;i++) {
	var c = ca[i];
		while (c.charAt(0)==' ') c = c.substring(1,c.length);
		if (c.indexOf(nameEQ) == 0) {
			return decodeURIComponent(c.substring(nameEQ.length,c.length));
		}
	}
	return null;
}
function getPrivacyLink() {
	var uid = readCookie('_lo_uid');
	return 'https://privacy.luckyorange.com/' + uid;
}

/*
// TODO: add the link somewhere on the page like an iframe or plain link in privacy policy
var privacyLink = getPrivacyLink();
*/
</script>
