How do I view past versions of a heatmap?
It is a common need to be able to compare website trends across time. Redesigns, content changes, different shopping seasons all have an impact on how users interact with our websites. The heatmap tool makes it easy to see how usage of a website has changed over time by offering a date range filter.
Loading historical versions of a page
By default, if a start or end date is present, the heatmap tool will show you what your website looked like during the selected date range by loading the HTML from a past recording. As long as the CSS and images from that recording are still available at their original location, you will be able to see your website just as it was.
Unchecking this feature will still filter visitor data for the heatmap, but will instead display it overlaid on a live version of your website.
